Haylia allows you to maintain an online journal, also known as a blog. It lets you stay in touch with your friends and family through messages and photos that you can add to your own personal site. We're specifically aimed at those who wish to blog about adoption, although there's no reason why it couldn't be used for anything.

Haylia is developed and maintained by Michelle and Jonathan Snook. We built this site after doing something similar when we adopted our first child. When friends of ours were adopting their child, we set up a site for them to let their family know what what was happening during their adoption process. From there, the idea struck to make this available for everyone.

Where the name came from

Haylia is the combination of Hayden, our son’s name, and Julia, our friend’s daughter’s name. We felt it important to honour the first two people to help us with this idea!

Supporting Adoption

Having gone through the adoption process, we believe in promoting adoption awareness. By allowing you an easy way to share your adoption story, we hope that we can help spread the word about what a positive experience it can be.
